Chad Robertson is the American cousin of the groom and he is quite taken with Maggie right from the start. With his quick wit and charm, he helps Maggie out of more than one predicament that arises at the wedding. Having been sent to represent his grandmother, who believes Chad needs a time out to get his priorities in order, he finds himself at the singles table where he keeps an eye on Maggie throughout the reception lending a hand whenever the opportunity permits. Maggie resides in England while Chad makes his home in Nashville. Chad is on holiday to attend his cousin's wedding and Maggie is the best friend of the bride, in addition to being one half of the catering team. They meet while mockingly discussing their table seating assignments. When the wedding cake is inadvertently ruined, Maggie must find a clever way to fix it.
