The World Next Week

The World Next Week brings a journalist’s perspective to the critical and intriguing stories developing around the globe—from Kyiv, to Pyongyang, to Capitol Hill, to Cannes. TWNW’s hosts have years of experience covering international and Washington news. Before joining CFR, Robert McMahon, managing editor of digital content, reported for the Associated Press and Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty. Carla Anne Robbins, a senior fellow and director of the MIA Program at Baruch College’s Marxe School, was deputy editorial page editor at the New York Times and chief diplomatic correspondent at the Wall Street Journal.

I have been listening to this wonderful podcast for years. The quality of the discussions on foreign affairs is impeccable. Please keep this program running! If not, please provide other recommendations for good podcasts on foreign affairs.
Very Partisan

While, the Council in Foreign Relations (CFR) takes no positions on policy their host Carla Ann Robbins continuously advocates for the Democrat Party. Why is a CFR podcast continuously commenting on domestic US politics? Robbins advocates for the breaking of federal law by saying illegal aliens have a right to be in the United States. She asks who will pick the crops if immigration laws are enforced. One suspects this would have been the same argument Robbins’ would have used in opposition to Lincoln’s freeing of the enslaved. I’m glad this show is being cancelled.
Thank you!

So sad to learn of this show ending! For a long time I’ve looked forward to listening every Friday morning and it has never failed at making me feel a little more prepared for whatever the next week was going to bring. Thank you to everyone involved for your work and to the hosts for their valuable insight into this mad world’s happenings. You’ll be missed! A x
