Interview with Beau Chatham, Founder/CEO Warrior Life Coach

Interview with Beau Chatham, Founder/CEO Warrior Life Coach

    www.warriorlifecoach.com

As a former college athlete, a 3-time TBI survivor, a combat veteran, and medical industry educator, Beau Chatham brings a unique perspective to the treatment of today's combat veterans.

"It was 2004 when I took an inventory of my personal rucksack, after reading Dr. Charles Hoge's groundbreaking study published in the NewEngland Journal of Medicine. Reflecting back, I realized that the solutions we were currently offering were ineffective, based on the skyrocketing suicide rate of our service members. Having spent the prior 12 years articulating disease states to patients and physicians and being fluent in speaking 'Infantry', I begin sketching an outline of what I had learned in my transition out of the military.

I learned early as a civilian that evidence-based methodologies offered the best means of providing a reasonable and predictable result in therapeutic approaches. As a former military leader and trainer, it was also apparent that warriors excel with process and procedure that they can learn quickly through demonstration and rehearsal. These were the guiding principles that led me to the solutions I provide today.

In 2009, I established Warrior Life Coach® to offer transitioning combat veterans an alternative solution to the challenges they faced in a post-combat world. I am a firm believer that holistic approaches to healing are under utilized and that many of the same principles that made our warriors successful while they served, are applicable to their healing journey today."

Since the beginning, Beau's clients have generated life changing results using the coaching tools that he offers today. To date, he boasts a 61% reduction in suicidal ideation, along with improvements in relationship satisfaction, and improved overall emotional states in combat veterans diagnosed with PTSD/TBI.
