Travis Dolter ‘Before The Ice Melts’

Follow @thebuzzrnet Release Date: 02/06/23 Location: Alberta, Canada Travis Dolter ‘Before The Ice Melts’ About the Music “You'd have to travel far to find a more accomplished, driven young guy than Travis Dolter. Travis can read a room like a pro and is a natural born entertainer." - Greg Shannon, Morning Show Co-Host for 840 CFCW Infuse together an abundance of energy, a witty sense of humour, an engaging stage presence with solid vocals, and you have described Travis Dolter. Raised on the family farm southeast of Edmonton, Alberta, Travis is a talented singer-songwriter and musician. Travis’s original compositions are fostered from a blend of his musical influences like Kenny Chesney, Buddy Holly, Brett Kissel and Dierks Bentley. After entertaining people online and through radio with his new holiday single "Pyrohy & Borscht", Travis is ready to kick things off in 2023 with his next single "I Know" coming out on February 10th, in conjunction with the release of his CD "Every Song". A sincere, hometown roots kind of guy, Travis takes on life with a positive and lively attitude and reflects that spirit in his songs. There is never a dull moment, as Travis shares the stories that inspired the songs. On stage, his energy, talent and enthusiasm are showcased as well as his ability to connect with the audience. Travis has been featured by Stingray 840 CFCW as the Homegrown Country Music Alberta Spotlight Artist of the month, nominated for Country Music Alberta awards, placed 1st in the Country 106.5 Star Search and won the Male Vocalist and Entertainer of the Year Awards in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. In August 2022, Travis and his band provided direct support as the opener for Gord Bamford at the Vegreville Fair. Local journalist, Michelle Pinon, described the performance as “electrifying” and referred to Travis as an “up-and-coming country music sensation.” In September, Travis achieved top 10 finalist status in the CCMA MDM Showcase and in November performed at both Ranchman’s in Calgary and Cook County in Edmonton. Travis is excited to announce he will be returning to Ranchman’s in 2023 during the Country Music Alberta Awards weekend as well as during Calgary Stampede. Aanthems ‘World Inferno’ New Ruins EP Highlight

Follow @thebuzzrnet Release Date: 30/06/23 Location: Vancouver, Canada Aanthems 'Recess' New Ruins EP Highlight About the Music Ryan and Geof Dolejsi are actual brothers, so it may not be surprising to learn that they have been playing music together in some form or another since they were kids. They cut their teeth in the Vancouver diy hardcore scene in the early 90s but despite witnessing many legendary bands first hand, have learned almost nothing about the right way to do things. Aanthems is driven entirely by feel. Ryan plays bass completely wrong, using guitar amps exclusively and leaning heavily on chords and structures he doesn’t fully understand. It’s almost impossible to get Geof to just play “a normal beat” which is probably a fair coping mechanism for Ryan’s abnormal bass style. On top of that they love to mess up time signatures whenever it “feels right” which tends to be often. They find themselves stuck in an endless cycle of recording music that is almost impossible to play live, then striving to make it sound even more powerful at shows, only to up the ante on the next round. Obviously this is unsustainable, but since both brothers are still able bodied, expect this trend to continue. Ryan and Geof wear their hearts on their sleeves and speak to issues that affect them deeply. It’s not hard to get swallowed up in the raw emotion of their cathartic rage, but even in the darkest hour this is clearly a band that has hope in spades. ABOUT THE EP: “New Ruins” is a 5 song EP written during one of the most divisive periods in history. An unintentional concept album that traces the path into isolation that fuels the politics of hate but ultimately counters with the possibility of existing in a functional society. Lyrically, the pendulum swings from seething rage directed towards those who commit atrocities against humankind and the spirit of apathy that enables them, but also acknowledges that many of those who lend themselves to the proliferation of hate and bigotry have also been victimized by those they follow. Ultimately the whole thing is tragic, but there are small things each of us can do to bring our light into the world, even if that means just sharing in one another’s grief. Aanthems Genres
