The Lord Jesus Christ said, “... rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.” If we struggle to find a reason to rejoice, remember that the most significant reason for rejoicing is that God loves us! Why else would He allow and even orchestrate the suffering and death of His only begotten Son for us? In this sermon, we will explore the love of God for us, which was demonstrated by the suffering of Jesus Christ. We will also discover who was it that was so mistaken and so wrong in their thinking when Jesus was crucified. My goal in preaching this sermon is to remind us all why we ought to rejoice.
