This Week in Skating Podcast

I only began listening to This Week in Skating this year, and I’ve since become a devotee. Gina and Daphne are magnificent guides to the complex disciplines that comprise the world of figure skating. They are exceedingly knowledgeable, winsome, and generous. I’ve never heard co-hosts on a podcast that are so fiersomeky together. They’re on my podium every week — thank you G and D !!!!

I normally enjoy this podcast but recently there is a new host, Melanie the photographer who talks way too slow with lots of pauses. Feels like this messes up the cadence with the regular hosts and makes the podcast hard to listen to…..

I absolute adore the team behind this podcast and have so much respect for their work. I fully support the idea of them being compensated/sponsored for the tremendous effort put into this podcast. But the ads in the episodes are horribly disrupting. There isn’t even an announcement for an ad break. It just pops in mid-sentence and worse yet, plays at 2-3 times the volume of the podcast. I’ve jumped while driving and listening due to the sudden burst of volume. Plus the ad content is 0% relevant to the podcast, it could be about casinos or something equally obnoxious. I know yall may not have control over the ads content but at least I hope you can more strategically insert the ads and tone down the volume please!!!
