Virginia Valian is a distinguished professor of psychology at Hunter College and is a member of the doctoral faculties of psychology, linguistics, and speech-language-hearing sciences at The Graduate Center of the City University of New York. She directs the Language Acquisition Research Center and the Gender Equity Project at Hunter College.
