This is the final chunk of the Dealing with Anxiety miniseries and we're looking at what to do whilst in the actual experience of an anxiety attack. We approach this from 2 aspects; one is dealing with the frequency of the attacks and 2, the strength of the attack. Mindfulness: a way of reducing anxiety
For us to reduce the frequency of the anxiety attacks we experience, we need to cultivate a general sense of calm and easeness within ourselves. How we can do this is by training ourselves - training our minds - to deliberately focus our awareness to the present moment. (To get out of our heads and into our immediate raw reality) This is by practicing mindfulness.
