He is an award-winning actor, headlining comedian, professional choreographer-director, prolific writer, musician, singer and visual artist. Last seen as Troy in the 2023 Shakespeare and Company production of August Wilson’s Fences in the Berkshires, he was also in the award winning Bomb-itty of Errors quintet that was on the London’s West End in 2003. Once nominated Best International Slam Poet by London’s Farrago Poetry Group, “ranney” was the premier comedian at Laff Tuesdays, the professional comedy club at the Apollo Theater in Harlem in the earl 1990s. He has headlined across the globe and has shared billing with Martin Lawrence, Chris Rock, and Paul Mooney. “ranney” has mounted ten one man shows.
