To See Each Other
Where we explore how people are fighting for the future of rural America and how writing it off hurts us all. Hosted by George Goehl, To See Each Other complicates the narrative about rural and small town Americans in our most misunderstood, and often abandoned, communities. This season, George travels to Wisconsin to follow a small town fight for the future of a beloved county nursing home, setting the stage for a statewide battle to save it. Our belief: That when we see each other, we’ll understand that we can never give up on each other.

This touched me as I work in travel - but i travel to a different nursing facility in my state . I could picture this facility in my mind, sadly of the 60-70 homes I visit regularly… i can say maybe 3 sound like this one. Amazing writing and great listen! Thank you for sharing
Nice try

I just found this podcast and I really wanted to like it, gain a bit of insight, and feel a bit hopeful, but given the results of our recent election I believe I will never understand trump country people who don’t seem to mind contaminated water, don’t believe in the climate crisis and continue to vote against their best interest. A+ for effort tho…

After growing up in (and writing off) rural Arkansas, this podcast has been convicting. It’s amazing what you can learn by listening and how hearts and minds can be changed by it. Theirs and ours.

As a black educator who grew up and taught in the small towns of coal county, people feel seen when you listen to them. Great podcast.
