Ep. 38 "Dead Zone" In The Gulf of Mexico?!

Empty Ocean Series Part 2 - In this episode, we wanted to discuss a recent event that is having a devastating effect on our oceans. The "Dead Zone" that has been appearing in the Gulf of Mexico over the last 50 years has repeatedly reached record size in recent years due to a 30% higher increase in nitrogen and phosphorus from the Mississippi river runoff. We share our experiences handling the increase in climate tragedies and address some steps to deal with climate anxiety. We hope you all enjoy the episode because we sure enjoyed recording it!

Tofu Talk Episode #37 - Diving Into Seaspiracy: Initial Thoughts and Review

Empty Ocean Series Part 1 - Welcome to the Empty Ocean Series! We thought it would be a great idea to kickstart this series by sharing a review and our thoughts on the popular and recently released film Seaspiracy. Seaspiracy is a 2021 documentary film about the environmental impact of fishing directed by and starring Ali Tabrizi, a British filmmaker. The film examines various human impacts on marine life and advocates for ending fish consumption. Lastly, we provide a few action steps for ourselves and our society in order to make a meaningful impact on our planet. A World of Knowledge, Laughter & Wisdom

I am a huge podcast listener while walking, running, cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping and more. Tofu Talk w/John & Asia never ceases to disappoint me! The content is clever, the jokes are witty, the knowledge is humble & validated, and the focus on sharing education about healthy, cruelty-free, sustainable options are endless! 🌱

It’s clear to the listener that both co-hosts bring their authentic selves to the table for every conversation, despite how simple or complex they may be. Whenever I press “play” on an episode, I feel confident that I will step away having learned something about myself or the world around me. John & Asia are able to breakdown challenging topics, such as, the surge of Asian American hate crimes or vegan activism, to more light hearted conversations around everyone’s favorite thing to consume (boba, duh 🧋).

I hope that everyone takes a few minutes to share this incredible podcast with their friends, family, coworkers and networks! John & Asia cover a range of topics in an entertaining & conversational way that is sure to keep you engaged whenever & wherever you tune in 🙌🏽
