I’ve consumed so many true crime podcasts in the last decade. Seldom do they emotionally impact me anymore. Tears came on often with this one. Skip’s storytelling, the music, the hard and confusing mystery all just punched me in the gut over and over.

I was on the edge of my seat through this entire story. I am disappointed that they never talked about the grand jury. What happened? Why keep talking about the young man’s alleged use of adult incontinence briefs, which is the proper terminology, not diapers! As an adult who has to utilize incontinence briefs, it’s disrespectful to keep referring to them as diapers.

Stories told with grace and dignity that have a fierce poignancy that never fails to provide the true crime lover with a worthy binge.

A very well produced podcast, as all Texas Monthly stories are. But, my god, what a judgmental group of people! That poor kid. Canadian does not sound a warm community at all.
