It’s the Christmas 2013 Editon of the Yard Dog Press Audio Roadshow

As I post this, my computer is dying and my husband is trying to get me off of it so that he can back up his files before the disk crashes for good.  The podcast hasn’t been field tested, so hopefully it’s all good.  If not, I’ll fix it tomorrow.
Here is the Christmas Episode of the Yard Dog Press Audio Roadshow.  Show notes to follow.

Tracy S. Morris recently replaced her antique laptop when the computer crashed while producing the Yard Dog Press Audio Roadshow.  Tracy took her own sweet time updating the show notes for the podcast while she learned the ins and outs of a new OS.  Yard Dog Press will release Tracy’s chapbook Medieval Misfits  in an expanded edition in 2014 with new cover art by Sherri Dean and two new stories.  The new book will be titled Medieval Misfits: Renaissance Rejects.

An Exercise in Spontaneous Writing with the Yard Dog Press Audio Roadshow

An Exercise in Spontaneous Writing with the Yard Dog Press Audio Roadshow

November is a time for family. Also a time for applying the seat of your pants to the seat of a chair and trying to bang out a novel (a.k.a. National Novel Writing Month).  If you are participating in either, we have all your podcasting needs covered this month at Yard Dog Press.
Today’s podcast features a chain story made up on the spot by the Yard Dogs during the actual traveling roadshow at Fencon 2013. Thrill at the adventures of a pair of Bubbas on the hunt for Bigfoot as they bump into Yumbies, and their cousin/aunt/sister.  Also, we rechristen the last Bubbas of the Apocalypse anthology as “A Bubba and A Nun Save Time.”

The Yard Dog Press Audio Roadshow (October Edition): Let’s Try This Again

The Yard Dog Press Audio Roadshow (October Edition): Let’s Try This Again

If you pay attention to this blog at all, you probably know that the October edition of the audio roadshow was completely messed up.  Then it took a week for me to notice it, by which point my backup files of the finished project were gone.  Yeah, I had a massive meltdown. After which I tried resurrecting the old files, which took longer than it would have taken just to create the whole thing over from the raw files.
So tonight I gave up and did just that.  So here is the podcast you deserve, but not the one you need . . .  Or maybe it’s the podcast you need, but not the one you deserve . . .Or something. I don’t know, I just watched Batman.
Very shortly (as in the next day or so) I should have the November, NaNoWriMo podcast up.

Its Halloween! It’s the Yard Dog Press Audio Roadshow!

Its Halloween! It’s the Yard Dog Press Audio Roadshow!

Halloween is nigh!  To celebrate, I just put together a ghoulish new episode of the Yard Dog Press Audio Roadshow.  This episode features a reading from Katharine Turski’s anthology It’s the Great Bumpkin, Cletus Brown.  This book is an amazing holiday read, featuring parodies of It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, Twilight, and The Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow.
The artwork is by Sherri Dean.

The YDP Audio Roadshow Goes to Worldcon or, Ask Kevin J. Anderson About The Carrot Based Economy

The YDP Audio Roadshow Goes to Worldcon or, Ask Kevin J. Anderson About The Carrot Based Economy

So last weekend was Worldcon, and Yard Dog Press was there. And so was I, which meant, Worldcon Audio Roadshow!
During the Yard Dog Press Panel (which was hard to find, as they hid it behind a line of Game of Thrones fans!) Selina explained the story behind a practical joke that she pulled on Kevin J. Anderson a few years ago, which has since exploded into a whole carrot . . . thingy. So that’s your Worldcon edition of the roadshow: Selina getting Kevin J. Anderson’s goat.
For this, I traveled to Austin San Antonio.

Has it really been that long since I’ve put out a Yard Dog Press Audio Roadshow?

Has it really been that long since I’ve put out a Yard Dog Press Audio Roadshow?

It’s hard to believe, but I haven’t put out a YDP audio roadshow since April (and that was a rebroadcast).  But I’ll save the excuses, and get down to business.
Last weekend Yard Dog Press was at Glich Con in Bentonville, where the house did very well.  Especially considering that this convention is more anime, cosplay and gaming focused. We met a few readers, and sold a few books.
Also? During opening ceremonies, I was seated next to DJ Steve Downes, who does the voice for one of the best known characters in the Halo series. And my daughter kept looking over and smiling at him in her cute, toddler way.
That’s right, my daughter was flirting with Master Chief.
At any rate, if you come to Worldcon next week, please come see us at the Yard Dog Press panel from 11:00 to 12:00 on Saturday.  Then come see us in the dealer’s room.  We’ve got several new titles, including our newest release, Lee Killough’s Ancient Enemy.
