Telling Tales

Kyle, I live in Indiana - was driving to Colorado for a series of day-hikes, when I found your podcast. I proceeded to listen to the first 17 episodes while driving to and from Colorado. I'm not a thru-hiker, just a 49 year old weekend warrior, but I love your array of guests and all the experiences they share. It has given this day hiker / 1-2 night backpacker invaluable information and confidence. I'm pumped that I still have 30 episodes to go! And inspired to try longer trips in the future! Maybe try a week on an AT segment next year, or maybe the Foothills in SC. Thanks for offering this invaluable resource. Terry in Indy

Bummed to be out of episodes!

I have been listening to all of the episodes in succession and now have to wait for weekly ones. 😒 At first I was a little unsure of the content. There were a lot of fbombs but not a lot of helpful content. But I continued listening because everyone has to start somewhere in learning a new craft. I am so glad that I did! I consider myself an avid hiker, even though I’ve not completed a thru hike. I’ve learned a lot about a variety of trails, picked up a hiking tip or 2, and was inspired to start hiking the NH 48. I bagged 6 peaks during the 46 climbs event, which I learned about via Trail Tales. (I even joined the TT team in fundraising). I like Kyle’s format as it reminds me of shooting the breeze with other hikers at a camp site.
