Great Show, S20 is Slow Progression
Some of these people with their comments. Holy cow! No compassion for someone who is completely manipulated by another person. We all have weaknesses. If it’s the one time of your life when you’re feeling most alone, like you’re failing and not good enough, like you can’t get things on track and then you meet a predator. Someone highly skilled at manipulation in many, many ways. They draw out your weaknesses and offer extreme compassion and understanding. Remember, this is a time when you feel alone in your struggles. They offer friendship, love and that Ride-Or-Die forever kind of connection that is very hard to find. Once they’ve been there for you and love bombed you at the perfect time, they’ve cemented a position in your mind and heart that becomes supernatural and truly does defy ALL logic for even the most intelligent people. So many clichés have been created to define how illogical human beings are when it comes to love. We do overlook all the red flags🚩and warning signs. If only it were as simple as always applying logic to our feelings, no one would ever allow themselves to be mistreated. If only we could step back disconnect that hold a person gets over another and see the entire situation from an outsiders perspective, season 20 of the show would not need to exist at all. if you have never experienced the form of abuse that is coercive control then congratulations. That is fantastic for you. Perhaps from your fortunate circumstance, you could view others with sympathy rather than harsh judgment and cruelty. This kind of abuse probably can’t happen to “anyone,” but it can happen to kind, caring, friendly, loving, good-hearted people for sure!
Season 20 so repetitive and confusing
Season 17 put me off. But these stalker stories season 19 and even this season 20 catfish tale— they are important. I’m sure it’s hard creating content every week, being a Mom etc. But this season could’ve been three award winning episodes. The longer you draw out “and then Brody said… and then Jess said…” — I’ve utterly lost track of which victim’s Mom or story we’re talking about. Also the longer you stretch it out the dumber your victims seem. I have a 60 year old friend online dating and so far both guys she has tried to meet f2f have come up with out of town for 5-6 week excuses not to meet. So I told her to listen to this. So it’s important to tell these stories. But I’ve stopped listening and just went to Reddit to finish the story.
