Welcome to another Tribute episode of Cinema Sounds & Secrets! This week we focus on the work and the life of Walter Mirisch, the acclaimed American film producer. Probably most known for being the Producer of Best Picture Winner, In the Heat of the Night (1960), Mirisch was a force on the American film making stage. After starting his own production company at age 29, he went on to produce other acclaimed films like Witchita (1955) and Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956) with his brother.
