A Much-Needed Quarantine Laugh

In the first place, I didn’t know that Tudor history could be retold with jokes and humor. And in this time of lockdown and staying at home, I am especially happy to have stumbled across this podcast! The episodes have a high amount of joy and fun as figures like Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn, and Elizabeth I are discussed. I am hugely enjoying this, and so glad to have found it while the world is on fire.

The best coworkers

Found this podcast in the midst of the pandemic shutdown. I have loved playing them in the background of working from home. Their banter balanced with knowledge makes the time go by so much faster. I appreciate all the recommendations for books as well. Love this podcast & will be so sad when I’m caught up (currently on episode 24).

The cornerstone of my sanity

I discovered this podcast last year when I got into Six the musical. Was I looking to come away being able to write a PhD on Tudor history? No. Was I looking to be entertained while learning some fun new facts about an area I already had an interest in? Yes, and that’s what I got! Emily, Jeff, and Garett have an amazing ability to make the listeners feel like we’re all friends. I love having this on in the background when I drove or do chores. In the current dumpster fire that the world is, Ive started turning it on to help me fall asleep because it takes my mind of the existential dread of being a human right now. I can’t wait until we get more episodes.
