I think there has been some really cool set ups with some characters and I am already quite invested in dynamics on both teams.  This week we saw Candy, Indy and Kent eliminated at the first three tribal councils and we are lucky to unpack the week with Kent today. Kent will talk about how he was cast after 10 years of applying and what nearly saw him say no to accepting a spot on the series  Kent will share what he thinks about the first three eliminations and what he expects to happen in the aftermath of his exit.. I find out about his journey on the show and what it has been like watching his personality from a viewers point of view. Thank you for clicking or downloading on today’s episode with Rachel Griffiths one Australia’s finest actors who is about to feature in the scripted drama Madam not only as the protagonist of the series but as a producer as well.    Rachel Griffths is one of my all time favourite actors and I can tell you that I use to love her so much that I would mimic the way she spoke and would watch her interviews over and over again. So you can imagine how much fun I had today chatting with her about her new series Madam. The story follows the American character Mackenzie (otherwise known as Mack) who lives a regular life in small-town New Zealand with her husband Rob and their two sons. When Mack discovers that Rob has been seeing a sex worker, it comes as a confronting surprise and rather than feeling angry, Mack feels unexpectedly inspired. So with a wish and prayer she sets up a her own ethical brothel. It is like nothing you have ever seen on TV. Rachel will unpack the reasons why she chose this project and the interesting learning that came from telling a story about sex work. We chat about her relationship with the other actors including Danielle Mc Cormack. Who you may know as Bee Smith from Wentworth. I find out about Rachel’s experiences on set and how getting COVID nearly shut down production. Which returns this week on the ABC for its final series. The Newsreader is brilliant and if you haven’t seen the first two series I am kinda jealous because I would love to go back and have that feeling of watching it for the first time. It is so groundbreaking and well made that in fact its one of the best Australian scripted drama’s of this generation. The Newsreader follows a few characters POV of the newsroom during the 80’s and Michelle’s character Noelene is one of the three main characters that we have followed through on this trilogy. Her character is Korean Australian and there has been so much to unpack with her character and even more so in series three.  Michell will unpack the ways in which her character is similar to her own personality and how Michelle was able to contribute this season more than just as an actress. We chat about sweet spot of The Newsreader and why this series has highlighted how far we have come and how far we haven’t with some of the biggest issues in this country I find out about how recreating the Logies had Kylie Minogue and Daryl Somers sending in their approval to use old footage.
