I was an avid listener until this morning’s Gal Gadot episode. Imagine thinking it’s a smart idea to—in a glorifying manner—speak about a woman who has manufactured consent for an ongoing genocide. And to say that celebrities shouldn’t use their platforms to speak up when people are being actively starved to death and blown to pieces in a modern-day concentration camp. Depraved. It must be nice to live in such a privileged and removed bubble, but I worry about the souls of people like this. Shame, shame, shame!

I really appreciate getting to indulge in a bit of escapist celebrity deep dives with these two intelligent writers. I could not listen to this kind of show if I thought they were at all mean spirited. It’s a guilty pleasure, but it also helps me stay culturally updated without patronizing disgusting tabloids. I’m rooting for these two.

Uncover Girl is literally the only thing that gets me through my brutal commute. Beatrice and Ivana are hilarious, so smart, and refreshing in a sea of podcasts! It feels like I’m at a dinner table with friends catching up, while reading a celeb profile (a dream). These girls could read the declaration of independence and it would be the best use of an hour ever. If there’s one pod you listen to make it this one!

I am so happy that I came across your podcast being a journalism fangirl from way back. A suggestion - even though it’s SUPER old, could you cover the article about the Brat Pack that the documentary “Brats” is based on? I’m old and I remember how that title from the article (though at the time I didn’t know it came from a celebrity profile) The Brat Pack - killed careers. The journalist who wrote the article is interviewed in the doc and it’s fascinating.

It truly feels like i’m in the room having a stimulating and nourishing conversation with brilliant friends. Relatable & fun! My ear is tuned in from start to finish. It’s exciting to hear Ivana & Beatrice analyze past and present published works from their experiences as writers. I walk away feeling smarter, hotter & always anticipating the next ep!
