Since then, hundreds of thousands of protestors have taken to the streets to demand a return to civilian rule, and an end to military occupation. Myanmar (Burma) has a long history of military occupation and subsequent crackdowns. In this episode, I briefly explain the long history of events that led to this 2021 coup.

Not a lot of coverage of important events around the world in our media. These podcasts are great at catching up quickly and understanding what is at the root of many issues outside the US.
