Dr. Charles E. Perry, Jr., is a native of Houston, Texas. He answered the call of God to preach the gospel in 1984, under the leadership of his father, Charles E. Perry, Sr. Dr. Charles E. Perry, Jr., is the Founder, Senior Pastor and Visionary of Word of Restoration (WOR) located in Rosharon, Texas. In February 2001, he started WOR with 13 people. God gave him the vision of Restoring Lives with the Word of God and the assignment to build Him a city, “The City of Restoration”. In 2005, he led the church into a land purchase of 44 Acres and in 2009 moved into the new sanctuary at the “City of Restoration”. In 2012, he led the church into a 1.2 million dollar “Debt-Free” Youth Facility for elementary and middle school youth. Under Dr. Perry’s leadership, WOR continues to be a thriving and life-restoring church for people of all walks of life. He is an anointed and gifted teacher in the Body of Christ. Dr. Perry holds a Bachelor of Ministry Degree, a Master’s Degree in Christian Leadership from Union Bible Theological Seminary and Doctorate of Ministry Degree from Christian Bible Institute and Seminary. He is also a Board Certified Christian Counselor. As a spirit-filled minister, he is known for his charismatic and energetic style of teaching as he maintains the integrity of the scripture. He reaches his city daily through television on the “Restoring Lives Broadcast” and is accredited for the statement, “When Your Life is Restored, You Shall Have Double”. As a teacher, Dr. Perry is very didactic with a unique anointing to make simple the principles of the Word of God. He has an incisive command of the scripture, which allows him to interpret the Word of God within its context and cause it to come to life so that it’s applicable to everyday living, relative to his audience. Dr. Perry resides in Fresno, Texas, with his wife of many years, Lady Charlette. They have two children, daughter Belinda, & son-in-law Donovan Walker and son, Caleb. They are also the proud grandparents of three granddaughters, Kennedi, Brelyn & Ciara.
