They began their career at Sakti3, Inc. as a Design Engineer from 2009 to 2015. During this time, they focused on developing MATLAB codes for battery simulation and design optimization, as well as implementing parameter estimation and improved Kalman filters for battery state of charge estimation.In 2015, Zhang joined Dyson as a Design Engineer and later progressed to the role of Senior Design Engineer. They were responsible for designing battery concepts and developing multiphysics models for batteries and fabrication processes. Zhang also took on the role of Manager, Design Engineering, where they built and led a multidisciplinary battery research team and delivered solid-state battery prototypes with superior performance.Currently, Zhang is a Principal Application Engineer at MathWorks, starting in 2022.
