Unquestionable with Calvin Smith is a show about asking the questions we all need to know.

Was ancient lost technology used to build the pyramids?

Are aliens visiting Earth?

Is there a God?

Is Bigfoot real?

I need to know as many true things, and as few false things as possible. The only way to know what's true, is to question everything we think we know.

Join me as in the hunt for truth, and let's determine whether history needs to be re-written.

Together, we can challenge to modern narrative by questioning the unquestionable. Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/unquestionablewithcalvin/support

    Episode 19: The Schist Disc

In the back of the Cairo Museum in Egypt is a mysterious object known as the "schist disc" in a small, glass cabinet. To this day, the exact function and purpose of the schist disc is unknown even to Egyptologist. Join me as I examine this mysterious object in an attempt to figure out what the schist disk was used for in 3,000 B.C.E.

Episode 18: Michigan's Dogman with Bridgette Tressler

Episode 18: Michigan's Dogman with Bridgette Tressler

This episode, I was joined by old friend, and winner of the tee-shirt giveaway from August 2021, Bridgette Tressler! Bridgette has recently been enthralled by the stories of an elusive werewolf-like creature native to our home state, the infamous Michigan Dogman. Bridgette and I talk through some of the supposed weird encounters Michiganders have had with the Dogman, and whether their anecdotal testimonies are strong enough evidence to warrant a belief in the cryptid.

Could there really be a seven-foot tall, bipedal, humanoid wolf creature lurking in the Michigan backwoods? Do we have enough evidence to continue to entertain the belief? Or is it all from Native American and French mythology? Join us in our hunt for the Michigan Dogman, and maybe some better dad-jokes in the process!

Episode 17: Edgar Cayce's Atlantis with Dr. Greg Little

Episode 17: Edgar Cayce's Atlantis with Dr. Greg Little

Dr. Gregory L. Little is a psychologist, and explorer of the ancient world and its mysteries. Since 2003, Greg and his wife Lora have been actively searching the Bahamas for archaeological ruins that might be linked to Atlantis. Along with archaeologist Bill Donato, the Littles have conducted multiple explorations around Bimini, Andros, and the Great Bahama Bank. Their explorations have been featured on The National Geographic Channel, The Learning Channel, MSNBC, Sci-Fi, Discovery, and The History Channel. Greg is also coauthor of the books, Edgar Cayce's Atlantis, Mound Builders, Ancient South America, and People of the Web and has over 30 other books in print in various areas of psychology.

Dr. Little was the perfect follow up guest to the last episode, "Evidence For Atlantis." I had an amazing time talking with Greg, and we plan to connect again soon. So keep your eyes peeled for more Dr. Greg Little in the future!

    Episode 16: Evidence For Atlantis

    Episode 16: Evidence For Atlantis

What was once believed to only be a myth, the story of a lost ancient city known as Atlantis has stronger evidence for its previous existence than you have been lead to believe. For episode 16, I investigate the claims and the evidence for a once prosperous ancient seafaring civilization that has been forgotten to the sands of time. I also take a look at the reasons why such an advanced civilization would have been destroyed via global cataclysm, as told by Plato in his famous texts Critias & Timaeus.

Could there have been a catastrophic event large enough to wipe out an entire civilization, as well as all of the remnants of its previous existence? The evidence may shock you.

Episode 15: Street Epistemology with Anthony Magnabosco

Episode 15: Street Epistemology with Anthony Magnabosco

Today, I speak with Anthony Magnabosco, the Executive Director of Street Epistemology International. Anthony has been practicing Street Epistemology (SE) for a number of years on his YouTube channel, and can honestly say he's one of the best Street Epistemologists out there practicing today.

Street Epistemology is a conversational tool that helps people reflect on the reliability of the methods used to arrive at their deeply-held beliefs. Anthony and I touch on what I used to believe, and the whole point of the creation of this podcast. Not to mention plenty of SE talk for anyone who is interested in the practice.

Episode 14: Dolerite Pounders and the Unfinished Obelisk

Episode 14: Dolerite Pounders and the Unfinished Obelisk

In the middle of a granite quarry in Aswan, Egypt lies what would have been the largest obelisk in Egypt, had it been finished. Still partially attached to the bedrock, it measures in at 137 feet (42 meters) and estimated to weigh nearly 1,200 tons. How did ancient Egyptians from 3,500 years ago plan to carve, move, and erect it?

For episode 14, I explore the construction of this mysterious unfinished monument, and what the method behind the carving of it could have been according to multiple resources. Unfortunately, it looks like the documentary I mention is no longer available on streaming services, and I don't recall the name of it. Sorry!
