UNspoiled! Agent Carter

10.2023 - I loved Agent Carter when it came out and have rewatched it a few times from start to finish. This recap podcast has voiced my exact sentiments to a T while also pointing out things I have missed but will re-watch to catch things pointed out. And I have also added more of the Unspoiled Podcasts to hear their recaps of other shows cause they do it so well. Thanks for making this one.

Will I forever be angry this show didn’t get a third season? Yes. But at least I can listen to this awesome coverage of the seasons we did get! And you should too.

Agent Carter is a seriously under-appreciated show and I'm glad that it's getting the Unspoiled treatment. Like all the shows on the Unspoiled network, you are basically listening along as two friends, one who has not seen the show and one who has, watch each episode and talk about it. A simple premise that works so well because the hosts are engaging and fun to listen to. Agent Carter was so much fun and unlike just about every show on TV. I'm sad I don't get any new Agent Carter, but getting new episodes on this podcast is a welcome addition to my growing list of Unspoiled shows.

I'm not gonna lie, I had little to no interest in Agent Carter. After the abysmally dull Agents of Shield, I was not excited to watch yet another network tv show starring a supporting character from the MCU where they face threats too lackluster to make it into the movies. However when two of my all-time favorite podcasters decided to give this a try after finishing s2 of Daredevil and doing such a great job, I decided to give the show a try just so I could follow their coverage. I'm glad I did. Not only is the show ten times better than Agents of Shield, but Maggie and Natasha are perfect for this show. From talking gender politics of the era, to gushing about the gorgeous costuming and set design, to recognizing character actors who have appeared in 20 different things, these two dig deep into this surprisingly nuanced tv gem.
