We hear about the role Keith Warren’s family played as citizen detectives and wrap the episode with an interview from Lonita Baker, co-counsel for Breonna Taylor and her family.

    Ep. 3: Making the News

    Ep. 3: Making the News

That narrative is then spread through the media to influence public opinion which can expedite justice… but more often fuels falsehoods. In this episode, we break down the role the media played in Warren’s case and question the relationship between media and police. We hear from actor and activist Kenderick Sampson, who shares his experience reshaping narratives around safety and policing in Hollywood.

    Ep.2: Policing, A Broken System

    Ep.2: Policing, A Broken System

The Montgomery County Police Department was a major factor in the outcome of the Keith Warren case and can be linked to many, if not all, of the missteps in the criminal investigation. Using the Warren case as a guide, this episode analyzes how police are empowered by the justice system and how that can lead to corruption. Our host, Alicia Garza, will sit down with organizer and co-founder of the Women’s March, Linda Sarsour, who has been active in the fighting against police corruption and reimagining safety for all communities. Linda will share her experience with the system of policing as a Muslim-American organizer and offer her vision for the future.

Butchorion72 ,

My first Friday morning podcast

A great podcast. The events are well told, and I never miss an episode!

Arcrystal1079 ,

Barely covers the case mentioned

Each episode starts talking about the case and then switches to more recent cases of police murdering black people. It’s interesting but very misleading as the case mentioned in the bio is just touched on.

I'm Listening now ,

Important story that is barely told

I was intrigued with the synopsis of the story and wanted to listen to hear more. I set up to binge the full 6 promised episodes that are all available currently. 3 episodes in and I’m finding a lot of tangential information that is relevant and important, but the actual STORY is more of a backdrop or side note for this podcast presentation. There are interesting panel guests with their agendas, platforms and opinions about social justice and equality. Again, all relevant. However I clicked on to hear about the storyline itself. I wasn’t looking for commentary and feel the subject matter is thin.
