Great sermon
I was visiting Dallas for a business trip and decided to visit the church. If this was a church I could take with me home I would. Very glad it's easily accessed through the web.
The Battle for Our Attention & Allegiance
Every moment of every day I am making choices about where I will place my focus and attention. The thousands of little decisions I make on a daily basis will shape the lens through which I see the world around me. Also, where I invest my time and attention becomes my allegiance by default. Wherever I submit my allegiance will effect how I interact with other people, including my children and my spouse. Both my lens and my allegiance shape my heart and soul. We have a real enemy and the battle lines have been drawn, although, sometimes those lines are fuzzy because our pride and self-centerdness tell us those lines are unnecessary or, at best, vague. What I love about this series is the message I need to be reminded of. There is a calculated battle for my time, attention, and allegiance and the stakes of the battle are for my soul and the ability to live a life of victory in spirit and in truth - not a victory based on money, physical beauty, or status. My focus is shifting from the pursuit of momentary comforts, "happiness," and physical beauty, to the pursuit of truth that provides a life that is not dependent of worldly, physical things but on spiritual and eternal things. Either direction I choose to go will effect my everyday life and the people in my life. The stakes are high and this is too important to ignore.
Very inspirational
Watermark is an open and honest church seeking God's glory in everything they do. The sermons inspire me to live for God and to learn more about Him.
