The episodes are crafted with such intention: the pacing, the music, the authenticity. I feel like my mind has space to breathe within them — space to really explore the questions within myself as Joanna and Jess talk. Highly recommended.

This podcast will be useful for anyone who cares for our planet, who feels distress at the scale and magnitude of what we are facing, and who wants to figure out how to get to the other side so they can do something about it. I’ve been working on climate issues for years and We are the Great Turning offers something I didn’t even realize I needed. At a time when so many false solutions to the climate crisis create noise and distraction that dig us deeper into delaying climate action, it seems extra important not to spin our wheels and lose ourselves in being busy without being clear and intentional. I think Jess and Joanna are offering us a VERY important process through which to engage more deeply and work through some of the personal and collective impasses we may not even know we’re stuck in. Guess what, listening to this is not going to feel linear and immediately result in you figuring things out once you’re through with it. But if you sit with what they are saying with some openness and curiosity, I think you will get a lot out of this. I’m still ruminating on how to revisit what they are saying and what it could look like to work through some of this collectively with others.
