Wichita's Early Edition

In southwest Kansas, some places only have maybe 25 years of water left due to declines in the Ogallala aquifer. But there haven't been any major conservation projects in that area. Instead, some farmers are focused on getting more water with an aqueduct running across the state. Some researchers say it’s a distraction that’s delaying work on water conservation efforts. We’ll hear the latest about a proposal to take water from the Missouri River and move it to western Kansas. Plus news from Wichita and around the state.
