Hats off to our guest, the one-and-only Scott Martin, who joined us while being chased down by Hurricane Ian in Florida. We pray that Scott escaped safely. Scott was with us to talk about the upcoming 2022 XVI Black Bass World Championship at Lake Murray in South Carolina in October. Scott and his partner, Scott Canterbury are favored to win the whole shebang! They won the gold in Mexico in 2018, so why not another gold medal run on home waters? Scott talks about his father, Roland, his television show, “The Scott Martin Challenge,” his new boats and much more. This interview proves why Scott Martin is one of the most popular anglers in bass fishing today.Dan Johnston from St. Croix joins us to talk some more about fall fishing. Is this the best time of the year to fish? What exactly is the “master plan?” Fishing can be more complicated than some people think!Fred “Boom Boom” Roumbanis is one of our very favorite pro bass fishermen. He’s been a winner in Major League Fishing and on the Bassmaster tour, but this time he visits us to brag on his son, Jackson, who just won his first fishing tournament, a big kayak event.

Some guys go the extra mile to accommodate their fans and the media. Maryland’s Bryan Schmitt is one of those pro anglers. He graciously gave us this interview while practicing for an important tournament, while he was stuck under a marina canopy in a driving rainstorm. How cool is that? This young man is really good. In just his second season on the Elite Series, Bryan had three Top 10s, including his victory at the 2021 Guaranteed Rate Bassmaster Elite at Lake Champlain. His second Elite victory just occurred on the Mississippi River out of LaCrosse, Wisconsin. In addition to being one of the busiest fishermen in pro bass fishing, he spends his free time guiding for saltwater stripers on the Potomac River. Give Bryan Schmitt a listen, if you will.Dan Johnston from St. Croix joins us to talk some more about fall fishing. Is this the best time of the year to fish? What exactly is the “master plan?” Fishing can be more complicated than some people think!Mike Leonard, Vice President Government Affairs at American Sportfishing Association joins us to talk about some important things his group is working on. This is important stuff and we thank them for their constant efforts.

Yippee Ki Yay! That’s the first time any fishing show has used that term, we are pretty sure! Our guest is Dakota Ebare. He’s from Texas, by way of Louisiana. He started out as a bull rider and a bull fighter in the rodeo world. He came to his senses and got into big-time professional fishing. He certainly made the right choice because Dakota Ebare is currently setting the Major League Fishing Bass Pro Tour on fire. Dakota’s tournament schedule is non-stop and he is one of the hardest workers in bass fishing. Ebare broke the MLF record when he landed a 7-pound, 10-ounce smallmouth during the Championship Round on Cayuga Lake in New York. We bet that John Wayne never caught one that big! Listen to this young cowboy tell his story!Dan Johnston from St. Croix joins us to talk about fall fishing. Is this the best time of the year to fish? Dan Johnston presents a pretty compelling argument to back that theory up!Michigan’s Michelle Jalaba won the big ICAST Cup bass tournament at the ICAST convention in Orlando in July. She will be representing our country for U.S.A. Bass at the huge upcoming world championship event. We are happy to have her on the show for the first time.

It’s impressive for an angler to qualify to be a Bassmaster Elite Tour angler. It’s incredible for a fisherman to perform at such a high level that he attains the status of Angler of the Year. Who could possibly win two AOY awards? Brandon Palaniuk, that’s who. This young man is one of the best fishermen on the planet and those two AOY trophies prove it. This interview will give you some insight into what makes Brandon Palaniuk so darn good. He is also one of the most popular pro bass fishermen out there and has the respect of the fans and the anglers he competes against, as well.Dan Johnston from St. Croix joins us to talk about crappies. Who doesn’t like catching these fine fish. Dan Johnston offers some great tips to teach you how to catch more crappies and bigger crappies, to boot!   We are joined by the one-and-only, “Mister Crappie” Wally Marshall. Wally is bringing his “Mr. Crappie $300,000 Invitational Classic and Expo to Branson, Missouri, October 19 through 21.

In addition, John has been a champion on the Pro Muskie Tournament Trail. In 2022, John Hoyer made it to the final day at the world’s first one-million-dollar bass tournament sponsored by Bass Pro. He is often referred to as “snake-bitten,” but not anymore! Spencer Shuffield of Hot Springs, Arkansas earned a huge check for $200,000 and the TITLE belt at the third-annual Major League Fishing - Tackle Warehouse TITLE Championship event on the St. Lawrence River in New York last week. Spencer, son of legendary former pro, Ron Shuffield, joins us to detail the ups and downs of his extremely interesting and unique career. How many anglers do you know who have retired and come back to the sport? Please don’t forget that Spencer Shuffield is still in his early 30’s! Listen to Spencer tell his story, please.Dan Johnston from St. Croix joins us to talk about rod lengths. They are getting longer all of the time.
