Renowned for its varied geographic landscape, the Beehive State is equally home to several cultures, communities, and ethnicities that form a rich tapestry of traditional artistic expression. From those that have lived, worked, and resided on the land that is now defined as Utah since time immemorial, to more recent arrivals to the state, Utah Folklife is dedicated to celebrate the vital importance traditional dance, music, craft, food, and others continues to hold in our lives, and reflect our varied cultural heritage, through the words of those that practice these art forms.
In this intro episode, Utah Division of Arts & Museums Folk Arts Coordinator and Host Ian Hallagan provides an overview of the podcast, what "folklife" is, and more.
