From The Pine Tree Riot to The Hampton Indian and beyond, Derek is thorough and informative and I’ve really enjoyed listening. I’d love to hear an episode on The CT River flood of 1936. Keep up the great work!

I’m enjoying the podcast. Great info on the Dorrellites and Southwick and I’m about to listen to Fort Massachusetts because last year I visited the rock memorials for the “line of forts”. Feel free to do something on fishing rods (from Pelham to Turners Falls) or anything up Montague-way.
Great resource!

This podcast is the only audio resource for the history of our rich area. It’s an excellent podcast and a great companion piece to Derek’s website Lost New England. Keep the episodes coming! One about Chicopee would be great.
Stories about Western Mass even a local history nerd didn’t know

I’ve been enjoying this podcast a lot. The stories presented have gone included details that even I as a local history nerd didn’t know. It’s well paced and sounds great but the host could benefit from an editor or just taking more time to check certain details. For instance in the fascinating episode about the Dorrellites he referred to Putney Vermont as Putnam Vermont. Not a big deal nor really crucial to the story but also something that should have been fixed. I’ll forgive the odd pronunciation choices because that’s me just being a grumpy local. I wouldn’t mind a little more info on the host in terms of his credentials but as long as the episodes continue to be well sourced that’s not a big deal. Keep up the good work.
Awesome!!!

This is the podcast I have been waiting for! Western MA history is a niche topic but it is an awesome and under represented niche. It is well researched and well produced. Thank you for making this!
