Chestnut Health Systems hosted a grand opening Thursday for its new Chestnut Family Dental clinic located at 720 W. Chestnut St. in Bloomington.

Few environments are as carefully controlled as a theater. An actor hits her mark just in time for a spotlight to bathe her face in light. Music swells and recedes in time with movement on the stage. The audience is guided by these sensory cues until the curtain drops, heavy and final, to signal the story has come to an end.

Rivian to get $827 million in state incentives to support R2 expansion and more hiring in Normal
Electric automaker Rivian says it will hire another 550 full-time workers in Normal over the next five years as it begins production on the new R2 model — part of a $1.5 billion investment and expansion plan announced Thursday. In exchange, Rivian is set to receive $827 million in state tax breaks and other incentives over the next 30 years.

Heartland president sees bright future for community college
Heartland Community College is recognizing the contributions of late board chair Gregg Chadwick by naming the newly-remodeled Gregg Chadwick Community Board Room in his honor. In an interview, HCC President Keith Cornille also spoke about the new and expanding professional programs in agriculture, welding, EV manufacturing, and more at the community college in Normal.
