What's Our Podcast? with Beck Bennett and Kyle Mooney

This concept is so fun. It’s fresh and funny, which is what one would expect from Kyle and Beck. I’m already re-listening while I wait for more.

The sound of their voices in their ads are so annoying that I can’t bring myself to try a listen

This is a good podcast.

Look, I like Beck and Kyle. Loved em on SNL, like when I see them in TV and films, etc. But this is not something that anyone was asking for. It reeks of entitlement to think “hey, we’re popular, we should have a podcast”, even though they have zero experience, and no actual premise for a show. Kyle in particular is a horrible interviewer, always bringing the conversation to a halt. There’s no premise, nothing to talk about other than just riffing with the guest and talking over eachother, and judging by these first few episodes, the guest sounds totally blindsided, not even knowing what the show they’re on is. We don’t need every white male comedian to have a podcast. Stick to what you know. It’s really telling that they apparently recorded a dozen episodes with high profile guests, before even announcing the show. Just reeks of privilege, another avenue to make money for people who are already in the 1%. I expect this show to last maybe a year before fizzling out, especially if they keep up this “non premise” which the guests obviously don’t know what to do with.
