What Came Next

What happens after the experiences of true crime survivors have been shared with the world? Does the media truly capture all it entails to survive such tragedy in the public eye? What comes after the convictions are in, the cameras stop rolling, and the court of public opinion has spoken? Can sharing our stories lead to justice, and is there ever really justice? These questions and many more are discussed on the new true crime docuseries podcast brought to you by Broken Cycle Media (https://www.brokencyclemedia.com/) . What Came Next (http://www.instagram.com/whatcamenext_podcast) is co-created and produced by Something Was Wrong (http://www.somethingwaswrong.com) ’s Tiffany Reese and host, award-winning writer, victim advocate and true crime survivor Amy B. Chesler (http://www.amybchesler.com) . On What Came Next (http://www.instagram.com/whatcamenext_podcast) , you’ll hear firsthand accounts from those impacted, with behind the scenes insights about what came next for survivors after their stories were shared with the world, and how the media impacts crime victims and their loved ones.

This is my favorite true crime podcast. Amy knows how to interview and produce stories in a way like no one else. All your guests are great and I’m a big supporter. Thank you Amy for giving a voice to the voiceless.
Amy’s podcast is a raw, honest, and necessary addition to the true crime genre

What’s Next isn’t just about true crime—it’s about resilience, healing, and the deeply personal journeys that follow unthinkable loss. While true crime fans often seek justice, this podcast brings something equally important: the human side of these tragedies. It explores the many faces of grief, trauma, and the paths we take to find meaning and peace after loss, offering a safe space for people to process their pain in their own ways.
Great Podcast!

A must listen for True Crime enthusiasts and anyone inspired by resilience! The hosts are great and the stories are riveting. I appreciate the focus on the survivors stories and how they handle sensitive topics with respect. I’m always excited for new episodes!
No intro, no context frustrating

I’ve listened to several episodes now and in the ones I’ve listened to, there was no intro, no context, the interviewer didn’t introduce themselves…it’s just podcast basics to set the listener up to understand who and what they’re to about to hear. Content is good but the show suffers as a result of those missing elements.
“Mediumship”

I have been a loyal listener since your first episode and I have appreciated the work that you do and the different perspectives your podcast presents until the February 28, 2025 episode. You are degrading the value of your podcast, the legitimacy of every guest you platform and the perspectives they present to your listeners when you platform guests that believe they are a medium, see ghosts, have hallucinations and present other kinds of thinking that is disconnected from reality. It’s sad that you have chosen to go this route.

Dude?
I used to enjoy this show
2024/11/29
With this particular season, I unfortunately lost interest. As someone who has experienced cancer, the loss of a child and endured a 30 year marriage to a husband with severe substance abuse disorder, I know what it’s like to suffer, heal and move forward. I am an average person who enjoys hearing the stories of other average survivors. That’s not what we’re getting this season. The speakers are all authors, actresses, semi celebrities. Not everyone who recovers writes a book, starts a podcast nor goes on the speaking circuit. That doesn’t mean, however, that we aren’t as courageous, brave and resilient.
Getting bored
2024/10/05
This show used to be alright. Now it’s boring with all the “professionals” coming on to talk about different topics. It was much better when it was a follow-up story from SWW. The just interrupts entirely too much with nothing to offer. Just wants to hear her voice.
WOOF

Get over yourself, Tiffany.
