Saving America Week in Review 2_22_25

Liberal judges in blue states are fighting to keep flushing your tax dollars down the toilet by opposing the recent executive orders, such as pausing USAID until the trash can be taken out.Anywhere from $100 - $135 billion dollars in unemployment insurance funds were stolen by fraud during the pandemic. Apparently, Biden and his cronies were too busy engaging in lawfare with Trump and arresting Holocaust survivors protesting at abortion clinics to bother recovering our tax dollars.Trump has managed to convince both Russia and Ukraine to come to the negotiation table – though it seems like a dangerous idea to let Putin put the proverbial table in Russia.Big shock, the terrible Gaza cease-fire deal is already falling apart. The Hamas terrorists are backing out of releasing what few hostages they’ve agreed to let go, and the few already released look like concentration camp victims. FEMA sent $59M to house illegals in New York City. How could any rational person NOT be demanding that the government reign in its disgracefully wasteful spending?A former senior advisor to the Federal Reserve has been indicted for stealing sensitive financial data for the Chinese government. I am of course shocked, and definitely not going to say I told you so.Bargain Hunt, a chain of discount stores, is closing all 91 of their locations by the end of March. Yet another casualty of Bidenomics. I hope Trump turns things around soon.Trump has ordered the US Mint to stop making pennies – a rational and long-overdue move. So the Democrats will probably sue over this as well.A Michigan state representative voluntarily sterilized herself to avoid being pregnant under Trump. Hopefully enough of her constituents can read and write that she is voted out of office for being seriously unbalanced next election. My guest this week is Ken Peterson of Churchill & Harriman, who sat down with me for a chat about why cybersecurity risks need attention, the biggest threats we’ll see in the late 2020s, and how you might work cyber risk management into your career path.We all know that a huge number of illegal immigrants are making their way into the United States, but according to a recent ICE report, a large percentage of those are coming across the northern border from Canada.George Soros has asked the FCC to streamline his takeover of 200 radio stations. Regardless of your political position, I feel like it’s blatantly obvious that one entity owning that many media assets is bad for both freedom of the press and democracy itself.A Houston deputy working a nighttime security guard shift and her 7-year-old daughter were both killed by a drunk driver. This is a sad reminder of why it is so important to not drink and drive.China’s continued aggression against the Philippines is strongly reminiscent of the moves Germany made prior to their invasion of Poland and the start of World War II.Though many hoped that business would return to normal after the pandemic, bankruptcies – both business and personal – are still rising. The headline-making proposed expansion of Title IX (to expand the concept of gender to include gender identity) has been blocked nationally by a federal court.America’s policy of pandering to Iran has been a complete disaster and has brought the Middle East to the brink of war. Only this time, Iran will have nukes. We need strong leadership to keep Iran in line.Louisiana is requiring the 10 commandments be displayed in classrooms. Religion has no place in an American classroom, but the 10 commandments are foundational cornerstones of civilization. I just don’t see how they’re offensive. My guest this week is John Gardner, who went from high school dropout to major manufacturing entrepreneur. Listen in as we chat about his journey, the problem of offshoring labor, and his book “Manufacture Local: How to Make America the Manufacturing Superpower of the World.”
