    Fruitfulness, Brokenness, and Cultural Pressure - Today Ashley wraps up the mini-series on the first command to men and women "Be fruitful and multiply." After looking at the joy of fruitfulness, the pain of brokenness, and the opposition of culture, we look into scripture for how to address the anti-life Satanic agenda and recover lost ground in the church. We can discern God's design with the three-fold standard of Life, Love, and Truth. Summary points: Every living thing God created multiplies. Gods first shared role for men and women is to be fruitful and multiply. We approach Gods command for fruitfulness with an attitude of obedience and trust. We embrace grace for the reality of brokenness. We reject the lies and fear of Satans culture of death. We rejoice with each child God gifts us. We aspire to both physical and spiritual fruitfulness.     Fruitfulness, Brokenness, and Cultural Pressure - How do we live with the first command and the curse? How do we reconcile "be fruitful and multiply" with the very real brokenness all around us? Ashley talks through the challenges to physical fruitfulness and directs us to Jesus, who was single and spiritually fruitful. We bring the pain to Jesus. This is the good news. Jesus completes us in every way. God created us to be fruitful physically and spiritually. There is grace for the brokenness in our world that disrupts that fruitfulness. When broken, we seek God and our community for grace. May we please God by pursuing the fruitfulness He intends for each of us.     Fruitfulness, Brokenness, and Cultural Pressure - As Evangelical Protestants, for all our focus on the Great Commission, there is little focus on the First Commission. Every living thing God created multiplies. This is where we must begin as we unpack Biblical roles of men and women. God created the conditions necessary for life to flourish. God created life. Three forms of life: plants, animals, people. God created and commanded life to multiply. Seed is the mechanism of multiplication. Life is very good and blessed. Fruitfulness is both physical and spiritual. God is seeking godly offspring.
