Somewhere along the line (rise + domination of social media) the meaning of living in purpose has changed. Now it seems like people thing to live in your purpose/sacred calling means to have a level of fame.
This conversation was sparked through a comment one of my classmates made a few weeks ago. She works in schools with kids and she mentioned that the number one answer she gets to the question "what do you want to be when you grow up?" is influencer. It left a super bad taste in my mouth and has caused me to rethink what I thought I wanted from life and just the overall addiction society has to fame + celebrities.
So glad you're here,
