When Kids Grow Up: Parenting Adult Children [with Julie Devora Brown]
In this episode of JewishMidlife, I speak with Julie Devora Brown about the evolving role of parenting adult children.
As our children grow into adults and have lives and responsibilities of their own, our roles shift. We’re finished raising them, and now what is our role when they have their own priorities, choices, and mistakes. How do we handle situations where we think or know their choices will be harmful? And if they follow a path different from our Plan A for them? What if they don't call or visit as often as we wish? And then there’s the grandchildren.
We discuss all this and also about tuning into ourselves, and the life we get to live when our children are adults and out of the house. Join us for this insightful conversation that explores the complexities and rewards of parenting adult children.
