    Encouraging performances, disappointing results as Detroit loses to both Toronto and New York

    The Detroit Red Wings played their two best games of the season this weekend, but unfortunately lose both games. 5v5 it was their two best performances of the season, as they go toe to toe with the Leafs and DOMINATE the Rangers but only score one goal all weekend. They definitely got goalie's by Quick on Saturday but the real problem was the lack of finishing and the penalty kill continuing to kill them. Husso made his first start since opening night and was ok. Datsyuk was honored ahead of his induction into the Hall of Fame. #LGRW.

    Detroit needed to come into the United Center and take care of business against an inferior opponent and they did, beating the Blackhawks. It was a slow start to the game, but Detroit struck first thanks to a DeBrincat goal late in the 1st. After that Larkin, Veleno and Copp netted goals to help carry the Red Wings to a 4-1 victory. Cam Talbot was as steady as ever. #LGRW
