Whiskey Congress Podcast

Unfiltered discussions about race, politics, and entertainment by a black guy and a white guy who aim to cut through bias and spin. One has a law degree the other is an engineer and they are both bald. We do it for the whiskey and of course for America! Steve and Jim use this podcast as a voice, not just for their own thoughts, but for all those with common sense and thirst for thoughtful analysis. Their mission is to cut through the bias and the spin of the media and look at the issues that effect the average person. Their goal is to stimulate thoughts and to be a catalyst for people to continue the conversations beyond the closing show music. They strive to give each of their listeners the tools they need to go find the truth and spread it like fire.
Nice to hear critical thinking!

A panel discussion of a range of topics all while drinking whiskey. We love the honesty, raw, bold, fearless, take on news topics. Don’t miss an episode.

Checking their own biases at the door (for the most part), Steve and Jim take news articles reported by mainstream media outlets and strip away the sensational political and social agendas to reveal the facts to their listeners. The result is an engaging, intellectual discussion between the two men with some jokes and drinking involved. Steve and Jim bring their own strengths to each episode. Jim's a trivia nerd, occasional stand-up comic, and the target audience for Garden & Gun magazine. Steve's a law school graduate and his legal knowledge is called upon to analyze situations and hypotheticals often during the show. He's also a black man, and his friendship with Jim (who is white) is one in which they speak candidly about race relations (an issue which was a major focus of their previous podcast), specifically news stories involving police shootings. Together these two make a great podcast team: WC is well-researched, well-delivered, and well worth the weekly listen.
