Customer Reviews
Enjoyable rewatch cast
Two fans of the show bond over B5. Enjoyable insights and commentary and good production value. Definitely on the better side of B5 casts.
Cool!
I currently listen to 5 Babylon 5 podcasts, and have been posting ratings and reviews. Given that many of the podcasts rate each episode of B5 on a variety of scales, I thought it might be fun to use the iTunes rating system to rate my enjoyment of each podcast on my list
This allows a floating scale week to week, sort of a competition between pods to determine which crew of hosts entertains me best.
This week, you at WHO ARE YOU?
earn a 3-STAR RATING for the degree to which I was entertained while listening to your podcast.
What do you want?
I’ll tell you: You want to hang out with Laura and Xhafer, two educated, witty, thoughtful people who are using the rewatch of a 30 year old TV show to learn about themselves and each other. Gimmick-free and sincere, they are unsparing in their criticism and generous in their affection for a show that is at worst an uneven example of the weaknesses of auteur television and a best a sometimes brilliant attempt to redefine TV as a storytelling medium. I feel like the newbie at this month’s book club meeting at the bar, invited by a friend of a friend, nursing my drink as I listen to new old friends talk about their favorite media. I first heard about this podcast from the League of Nonaligned Podcasts show on the status of the 2023 B5 on CW reboot.
