    Who is Jesus the Christ?

    This will cover who exactly Jesus Christ is and help disprove some common misconceptions most people have around the name of Christ Jesus. Often times we're not taught what the name of Jesus means from it's original Hebrew root or how it was either a transliteration or translated into Greek, Latin and/or English. Sadly we've heard false rumors of: being a Christian is a "white man's religion", slaves only knew of Christ from slavery, Jesus isn't real, you're not forgiven, Jesus name is actually Zeus etc etc. This segment will highlight how there is power in the name of Jesus to break every chain that every existed.     Say Her Name! (a women encomium; we love you)

    en·co·mi·um = (a speech or piece of writing of warmly enthusiastic praise)  This piece is honoring all the brave women of our past & of our present who have given more than blood, sweat & tears but even their very lives. From Anna J. Cooper & Sojourner truth to Suzanne Shank & Sandra Bland, we must not only remember our honorable women but celebrate them as they live now.  May we never forget the countless innocent lives lost at the hands of police brutality, instead of being allowed the proper medical attention. The countless women being sexually assaulted daily. The countless little girls being human sex trafficked.  May God continue to give us the strength to stop these atrocities! May we as men continue to find ways to uplift our sisters with love and genuine understanding. The highlight scripture/book comes from The Book of Susanna  - found in the Holy Bible (in the Apocrypha) May we continue to fight against those who sexually assault, harass, degrade and undermine the mere existence of women. May God above continue to strengthen the bond between Men & Women as we both need each other. May love always conquer the hate. In Jesus Name.

    Keeping Your Crown (Start of Season 2)

    Welcome to Season II (2) of Ya'akobi Radio!! We're covering how to keep our Crowns in this time of confusion in a world which doesn't love us and seeks to bring us down. We must continue to love others, be light, and be an example of someone simply trying to display the love of Christ. Paul stresses placing others in front of our own desires (huhhhhh how??) running the race to see others find peace & eternal salvation.     Black Men Brunching (a diner conversation)

    This was a random spare of the moment conversation me & Dray had during brunch at this flaaaame diner called Snooze. He didn't know I recorded this at first (so shhhh!). His inquisitive nature questioned "what type of people are you allowing in your life"? What influences do they have within your life? How do we ask for help from elders? Also how do we as men & women find spiritual advice? How do we as men find ways to express ourselves? The burden of finding mentors in the believer community can be challenging. Do you feel like you're off the path of what should be doing? Do you feel like you don't have enough "resources" to help those in need the way you would want to reach out to them? Be assured you have everything you need right now - Acts 20:24 - Galatians 5:7

    Trick or Treat? is giving idol worship your secret treat?

    Funny how we all like to dress the part, look the part, speak the part yet say we're not the part.... How do you avoid Halloween? Or better question is why do you participate in Halloween? p.s. if it was really about the "kids" wouldn't you lead your kids to the truth? wouldn't you create other ways of fun for them and yourself?     Is Yom Kippur Christian or nah?

    We're covering Holy Days/Festivals/Feasts which the Most High has given us for free! These are in celebration of remembrance of our ancestors the Israelites being freed from the slavery of Egypt to crossing over into the wilderness to the land of Milk & Honey! Did you know these following days are special days for us to get together and BIG KICK-IT!!: - The Passover, and the Festival of Unleavened Bread (Lev 23:4-8) - The Feast of Firstfruits (Lev 23:9-14) - The Festival of Weeks (Lev 23:15-22) - The Festival of Trumpets (Lev 23:23-25) - The Day of Atonement (Lev 23:26-32) - The Festival of Tabernacles (Lev 23:33-43) Enjoy these beautiful days and destroy the Asherah/Asheroth/Ishtar trees we now call "Christmas trees" - Jeremiah 10 tells us about the origin of this pagan practice. The easter eggs & bunnies of the Phoenicians & Teutonic tribes which must not be allowed in our homes as this is idol worship of their goddess Eostre. May the Love of Christ be with you all!!

    The Light vol. 2 ("Think Light" a series by Dray)
