1. Ellen raised her children in a household that encouraged creativity and freedom to figure things out on their own.  This approach meant that when Sara & Ford would say they were bored, Ellen said, “You have toys, you have friends, go play!”
   
   
2. Both of Ellen’s children enjoyed working from a young age and that interest in working was embraced at home.  Whether it was an art business, lemonade stand, or putt-putt golf course, Ellen encouraged her children’s interest.
