Why are Teens behaving as packs of Wolves?

I keep asking this question - why? Why are teens moving as packs?  Seeking safety in numbers? Why carry knives?

then we ask the question why are they fearful? Then I look at the trajectory of what we have been presenting in real time to them online - with all the lies that make every civics and social studies class a complete lie.
