Why I Hate Your Podcast
Podcasts are awesome. Well, some podcasts are awesome. If you’re like us, you’ve curated your own cadre of podcasts to which you’ve subscribed, but you’re always on the hunt for more. And there are now a seemingly endless supply of podcasts. How do you find ones that you’ll like? Ask your Facebook group of working moms or knitting enthusiasts? Listen to those horrible I Heart Radio ads that make all of their podcasts sound like a hot mess? We decided to embark on a monumental journey to listen to all the podcasts. Okay, not really. But a lot of them. And share with you why we hated them (or not).
Refreshing!

I came across this podcast without really looking for it. What a treat it is. It’s so much fun listening to a well thought out, relatively unbiased review show. These two do a darn good job of staying as objective as is humanly and honestly possible. They don’t seem to be tying to protect anyone and they don’t fawn over celebrities. You can get useful information here. It would be great if they had done more, a lot more. The public needs more of this kind of opinion piece. They’re not trying to push something. And they could teach a class on how to maintain perspective and be skeptical thinkers. Just fun!
They call others insufferable and biased…

A fun concept for a podcast and maybe 20% enjoyable. Try the 99% Invisible review…clearly the woman is a fan, and the guy spends 20-minutes trying to find political (liberal) bias and digging hard to find reasons to convince himself and you not to like it. One of the ones that come out on top, 99% Invisible Episode names aren’t obvious enough…*HE’s* only going to listen to episodes where the titles are very literate and clear to him as god forbid there’s some sort of twist or something isn’t obvious at the start. It’s all downhill from there…he chides that podcast for suggesting that training an AI via emails from Enron (a company known for massive shareholder and taxpayer fraud) could introduce significant biases into said AI, going on to say that “Silicon Valley” (en masse) are known for their biases too! (Whataboutism?) missing the point that the creators are not comparing, they are telling an Enron-related story. In other episodes they seem more concerned about hunting for/ferreting out liberal hosts/podcasts than content focused reviews. Meanwhile sites like the (Conservative) Babylon Bee get a lot less of that critical eye, when in reality is a poor knock-off of things like the Onion. At any rate give this podcast a hard pass, and based on the lack of new episodes it looks like they gave up on this themselves. A small victory I n a world of so many bad podcasts…
Just beans man
