Thoughtful commentary for writers and readers.

Kristine and John always bring fresh thoughts and thoughtful commentary to their analysis of short stories. It’s a useful and enjoyable listen for writers and readers alike.

Weak analysis

Not very thorough but a decent jumping off point. They pick good stories to cover but their analysis is weak.

How does this woman have a literature podcast?

I listen to this podcast because I love short stories. However, I have no clue how this woman has any authority to talk about literature. She constantly claims to be a “modern reader” but she only says this when it’s obvious she doesn’t understand classic literature. She constantly criticizes famous male authors of the past and she says stuff like “I would love to see how Poe would write this in modern times with our proper training.” Wow. Poe was a better writer than 90% of modern writers.

This woman should not have a literary podcast
