This week, I'm going to be talking about International Women's Day, but also why I think women should be celebrated every day of the year. I’m going to explain a bit about the history behind International Women's Day and really why we still need it, but also really the theme running behind it that I think women need to support each other every single day.
Here are the highlights:
(01:39) When International Women’s Day was first celebrated and why
(02:58) It will take 100 years to close the global gender wage gap
(03:55) Gender inequality has a negative impact on society as a whole
(05:06) Women supporting women is a powerful force for change
(06:03) I believe this in-person meeting of women in circles is really powerful
(07:39) I believe that starting with small grassroots organisations and circles is a great place to start
