Have you ever wondered where the Wicked Witch of the West got her hat? Or how those Monkeys learned to fly? Or how many Sleeping Tulips it takes to get a Goat with Tenure fired? Or how that road in OZ got so yellow? Well I don't want to spoil it for you, but it ain't all the Munchkin Piss.
On this week's episode we're talking all things WICKED. And no, we don't mean the New-England-specific term of endearment. We mean the 2024 theatrical remake by John Chu of the 2003 Broadway adaptation by Winnie Holzman of the 1995 novel by Gregory Maguire which was a kind of re-imagining of the 1939 MGM studio movie which, in turn, was a re-telling of the 1900 L. Frank Baum novel The Wizard of Oz. Phew. What a mouthful. Someone get me an Elixir.
Anyway, we learned a lot from this movie. And the singing is pretty good too. Let's just hope we make it to November 2025 so we can potentially see a green woman fuck a scarecrow.
