    Mauve Stinger - Jellyfish Bloom

    Mauve Stinger - Jellyfish Bloom

Do you know about mauve stingers (Pelagia noctiluca) blooms that occur in the Mediterranean?

If not I suggest you listen to this podcast because it's a topic about a species we need to learn with it in our summers. They won't go away, but the jellyfish blooms of mauve stingers will be much worse in the future, due to climate change. The Mediterranean is heating up which makes it a perfect hotspot for this kind of jellyfish to breed more frequently and change even their reproduction and bloom behavior.

    Pokedex VS iNaturalist

    Pokedex VS iNaturalist

That podcast is for young people to learn and know about the platform iNaturalist, which has a lot of similarities with Pokedex (from the Pokemon world).

Instead of playing Pokemon, you can go outside and play a real-life game with photo-catching animals and plants. It's not so easy as it can be heard, you need to study the needs of an animal or a plant. You can't find grasshoppers in the water, or some bat species live inside sea caves.

You need to go outside and find them. It's the greatest adventure you can have !!! That's a promise.

They are colorful, they look like pokemon in many ways, and they are tiny (from few mm to some cm).
It's not easy to photograph them and not easy to find them if you don't study them!

Dolphin watching in Italy and swimming with dolphins in South Africa

Dolphin watching in Italy and swimming with dolphins in South Africa

A dolphin-watching program can be more adventurous than it might be heard, also you can contribute to research and conservation projects by participating.

You can understand more about their behavior and learn to analyze it. After all, dolphins are very smart and their behavior has a pattern similar to humans most of the time.

As also swimming with the dolphins might be fun but in reality, it might be dangerous, especially when they have youngs where the parents and the whole pod will try to protect them.

The dolphins might look good and they are but also can be very harmful. They have teeth which that means they can bite you, or knock you out because they are playing rough. They are socializing, playing, surfing, hunting and they are heavy animals which you don't want to be near them when they are active otherwise you can be hurt.

But if you see them when you are swimming don't get closer than 2 meters and enjoy the encounter as much as you can do and have fun. Afterward, it's a lifetime adventure.

Life is short, live it as you want. Become a wildlife adventurer and live a marvelous life!
