Stop Christian Nationalism

This man is earnest. His concern is grounded.

With Trump taking power and the host’s predictions coming to pass, I am so glad to see he’s still at it. Now is definitely not the silence. Thank you to this podcast for issuing a rallying call for the troubling Trump years.

For those of us who value our secular Constitution and democracy, and are concerned about social media’s and ultraconservative podcasts’ chaotic destabilization of our politics, Clifford Cook’s is a much needed voice to help us understand the dangerous threat posed by well-funded, organized Christian Nationalists. A secular democracy like ours doesn’t have to be perceived as antithetical to religious freedom. Instead, it is one that welcomes all world religions and encourages tolerance towards them. The idea that our government and Christian dogma be entwined is extremist and unAmerican! Cook does a great job clarifying and demythologizing the Christian Nationalist ideology.

Christianity is trying to take over our government. We need to listen to know who these people trying to overthrow democracy are. This is not the time to be passive. Thank you for reporting this.
